This award is for students in the Nursing Baccalaureate of Science (BSN) program who strive to develop knowledge and frontline skills with the intention of engaging in direct care for individuals with mental health issues. These students should have demonstrated exceptional qualities of empathy, respect, facilitative leadership, and a strong commitment to promoting advocacy for individuals and families who are living with mental illness.
