Monday, Feb. 3, 12 pm Ƶapp’s campuses are CLOSING at noon today due to the forecast calling for heavy snowfall and deteriorating road conditions throughout the region. All classes and services will close for the reminder of the day.

Space is available on both campuses to accommodate people who may need time to make exit arrangements:

• Interurban: Liz Ashton Campus Centre

Middle School Trades Exploration Summer Programs

Check back this spring for summer 2025 youth programs.

If you have a student in middle school this summer may be a great time for them to explore a Trade and take part in hands-on learning activities. 

Middle school programs - Summer 2024

Space is limited 16 seats in each program

Ƶapp's Summer Trade Exploration Programs are open to all students from our partnership school districts (SD61, 62, 63, 64 & 79) born between 2010 – 2012.

When and where?

All programs will be delivered on Ƶapp’s Interurban Campus.

  • July 2 - 5 | Pipe Trades, Build Green or Culinary
  • July 8 - 12 | Future Women in Trades Sampler or Sheet Metal

All programs run from 9am – 3pm; Monday – Friday (excluding the Canada Day holiday, Jul. 1)

Pipe Trades | July 2 - 5

Students participating in this four-day camp will be able to complete a variety of different pipe trades and plumbing projects, hear from Ƶapp instructors and speakers within the pipe trades industry, and learn the necessary safety skills to stay safe throughout their week and during future experiences.

Students will be responsible for having steel-toed shoes and wearing appropriate clothing.

Build Green Together: July 2 – 5

Students participating in the four-day camp will be able to explore the world of clean energy and efficient/green building through hands-on activities and interactive demonstrations. Students will have fun exploring projects that include wind turbines, solar thermal collectors, vacuum chambers and solar ovens.

Students will be responsible for having steel-toed shoes and wearing appropriate clothing.

Culinary Exploration: July 2 - 5

Students participating in this four-day camp will work alongside Ƶapp instructors and students to explore the world of culinary. Each day, students will gain new skills, knowledge and experience making a variety of recipes and meals. Students will be taught proper kitchen and cooking safety; and, most importantly, make some delicious food!

Students will be responsible for having close-toed shoes and wearing appropriate clothing.

Future Women in Trades Samper: July 8 - 12

Students in this trade sampler program will gain experience and knowledge in trade safety, pipe trades, carpentry, and electrical. Through hands-on activities, students will work alongside Ƶapp instructors to better understand these pathways and the skills required to be safe and successful. Take home projects will be created each day. This program is open to students who identify as female.

Students will be responsible for having close-toed shoes and wearing appropriate clothing.

Sheet Metal: July 8 - 12

Students participating in this week long camp will be able to complete a variety of sheet metal projects, hear from Ƶapp instructors and speakers within the sheet metal industry, and learn the necessary safety skills to stay safe throughout their week and during future experiences. Students will create a variety of take-home projects throughout the week.

Students will be responsible for having steel-toed shoes and wearing appropriate clothing.
